In the video, they were working on a shaft made of carbon that measured 50 millimeters in diameter. It was put into the lathe and turned at a fast speed. Another component of the lathe allows the shaft to be reduced to what is required. The lathe operator has to smooth the surface of the shaft as it rotates. If it reached the specs required, they sanded the shaft and kept it turning.

After that, they spray the sealing material , and then sanded the surface over and over. Because they wanted to make the bearing bush made of carbon to be shorter, the machine had to continue working. They used the same machine for the lathe, which reduced the portion of the shaft, which they had adjusted to get to the correct dimension.
